“The amount of plastic used is enormous all over the world. Nearly 400 million tons of new plastic pellets are produced each year. Only in 2021, almost 390 million tons of plastic pellets were produced, with a growth rate of 2.25% per year, which the produced quantities are nearby this amount in last few years ago. If focus only Thailand, plastic itself is used in the packaging industry the most, almost 41%, followed by the electronics industry, construction work, and automotive parts. The main industries alone account for 78% of the amount of plastic used in the country.”
