Expanding knowledge and the path of business development

It started with continuing education in Composite Engineering from the United States Department of Defense scholarship fund. This provided Mr. Vivorn with very versatile knowledge that could be applied in many fields of science.

The experience of working in a US company provided a different view of the potential engineering career path from that experienced in Thailand. With a scholarship grant, he was required to come back to work in the development field in Thailand. He then worked on a marketing plan to apply material science knowledge to the field of security in order to use the knowledge he had gained to create foundation work. In Thailand at that time, there were still a few agencies that were interested in this field of work. He spent time in a research agency and saw the factors of user needs but there was still no product option that met the needs of users in the country. Therefore, he decided to set up a company to produce armor plates that used modern composite technology - a challenge for a company to develop and meet the various agencies’ requirements for protective equipment and then commercialize the research. This was the starting point of the development of a product in the country.

Technology that meets user needs

The difference between armor and protective helmets on the market is that there is almost no difference in the base material, which is synthetic fiber used as the main raw material. The difference and quality of the workpiece depends on the calculation of the form of merging various fibers into armor plates with a special process. Based on the background acquired from the United States, Mr. Vivorn had a good understanding of this production technique and also focused on research and development (R&D) that he saw as an important cost of business. The construction of a test lab that collected data obtained from testing various products enabled a standard value to be established and used as a database and reference to meet the needs of customers as much as possible. The factory now has a laboratory for firing at helmets and body armor with live ammunition of various sizes through the measuring device so that the test results come out as standard as possible.

The first series of products is Armor Level 2A. It started due to competition with manufacturers from abroad, Envostar was the only Thai manufacturer participating in the bidding. With complete qualifications as well as the value of the products offered made; Envostar became the winner of this armor bidding. With the first contract won Mr. Vivorn then had the confidence to conduct business in this way along with listening to the needs of different agencies with different usage requirements. The company developed products in various forms, including protective helmets and bulletproof shields that could be produced into products that have higher protection capabilities but lighter weight which has become one of the most distinctive features of Envostar products today. Today, it has been proven, used in various missions and can effectively save the lives of users.

International success and recognition

With a clear approach in doing business, adherence to transparency and recognizing its own strengths as a body of knowledge that can be used to continuously develop products Envostar is widely accepted by national security agencies in both the military and law enforcement.

The latest achievement is the award of a contract from the Singapore Police Force (SPF) to provide various forms of personal protective equipment for a period of 8 years. This is proof of the quality and standards of Envostar products.

Every race is a challenge.

Competition revolves around development. This is Envostar's view on expanding business. The company sees that straightforward competition is a way to make speedy business development. Envostar, therefore, has confidence when entering a competition for each project. It's not just a challenge to work that drives us to be able to create new products that meet the needs of each partner. Other companies that participated in the competitions have now become a business partner. With a clear operational status allowing each entrepreneur to find their own strengths, weaknesses, and the ability to use the strengths of other entrepreneurs to add value to their own products in upcoming projects.
